This is a guide to help you guys to obtain a North American IP.


1. Create an AOL account at www.aol.com (You have to click on: 'Get Free Mail')
Don't sign up using the AOL software. They will ask you about billing etc.

2. Download AOL 9.0VR: http://daol.aol.com/software/90vr/

Install AOL and run it. After that, follow the following guide:

1. Click the Connect Options button at the AOL Sign On screen.
2. Click the Advanced Broadband Settings link.
3. Click the Continue button.
4. Click the Add a Broadband profile link.
(Its in the top left corner of the Broadband tab you have to
click on the drop-down menu that will be just under the sentence You are currently editing settings for.)
5. In the Profile Name: box, type "NA IP!!" or something like it so you remember what profile this is, then click the Add button.
6. A bit further down you have the Connection Type click on the drop-down menu to open it, then select "Home Network" option by clicking it.
7. Click the Save button.

After doing this you are almost ready to run AOL and get a North-American IP.
Here is a guide on how to log on:
1. Run AOL.
2. Go to the AOL Sign On screen. (it automaticly pops up :p)
3. Write your AOL ID (the part before @aol.com. If your e-mail is 'santa@aol.com', then your ID is 'santa')
4. Enter your password.
5. Select 'Broadband'.
6. Sign on.
7. Sign off (you will have to do this, trust me).
8. Enter your ID&Pass again.
9. Select 'NA IP!!' (or however you called the Home Network you set up).
10. Press 'Sign on Again'.

You should get signed on if everything goes correctly.
Make sure you have a North American IP.

Go to: http://whatismyipaddress.com/

It should say that you are currently located in (North) America.

Tadaa! Enjoy your North American IP!

PS: Do not turn AOL off when playing a game. This might cause you to get disconnected and they might ban you!

PPS: MAKE SURE YOU HAVE AOL TURNED ON WHEN CREATING AN ACCOUNT FOR A SITE. This will make them think that you are in NA.

PPPS: MAKE SURE YOU HAVE AOL TURNED ON WHENEVER YOU LOG ON AT A North American site!! They might ban your account if you don´t!
